Similar keywords
The Keywords tab can show Similar keywords for a selected term — related keywords discovered by SERP overlap similarity or semantic vector search.
Two methods
Section titled “Two methods”| Method | When available | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Jaccard (Athena) | After hub run ingests keyword pairs | Keywords with similar ranking URL sets (Jaccard ≥ threshold) |
| Vector search | After post-process completes | Semantic similarity from embedded keyword research documents |
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”- Open your project and go to the Keywords tab.
- Select a keyword row (checkbox).
- Scroll to the Similar keywords panel if it appears.
- Review similar terms with similarity scores.
- If vector search is available (post-process complete), use the vector action when shown for semantic neighbors.
Timing
Section titled “Timing”- Before post-process: Jaccard-based similar rows may appear from Athena if pair data exists.
- After post-process: Vector search provides broader semantic matches via the embedding index built during background processing.
If similar keywords are empty, confirm:
- Run research completed successfully
- Post-process status is complete (not failed or idle)
- The selected keyword exists in the hub dataset
